The Volunteer advocates for a foster child assigned to CASA by the Juvenile Dependency Court |
The Champion Volunteer has contact with children or confidential information; may act as a program representative at speaking engagements, etc; but does not advocate for a child |
The Associate Volunteer has no contact with children or confidential information and do no work in the CASA office; the Associate Volunteer helps with speical events |
Those who contribute $1,200 per year become CASA Partner Sponsors. CASA Partner Contributors have the option to make their contribution in two installments of $600 each. |
A Friend of CASA is a volunteer who works with others to plan events and programs that raise funds for CASA's operational expenses. Friends of CASA meet the third Tuesday of each month. |

CASA Advocates must be 21 years of age. A thorough background check of all the items shown on the attached Volunteer Checklist is required |
Champions must complete a non-advocate application form, satisfy a background check, provide three references and sign a confidentiality form. A Champion acting as a spokesperson may be under 21 years, depending upon the assignment |
Associates must complete the non-advocate application form and sign a confidentiality form; Associates may be under 21 years, depending upon the assignment |
There are no pre-requisites to becoming a Partner of CASA of Ventura County |
Depending on the level of involvement, a Friend may be asked to fulfill the requirements of a Champion or an Associate |
